my brain hurts when I go back and forth between games, but for the most part I think I'm just about the same level of crappy on both games now

Well, I just got Minna myself. Already experiencing buyer's remorse because the scheduling on our server has brought back some serious action to OOB. Not sure if I'm going to have the time or patience to give Minna a serious run.

Just for the heck of it, let me summarize my initial observations:

- Rabbits and turtles are a LOT easier on Minna. The ball doesn't curve nearly as much as OOB, so they're much easier to control. Sorta caught me off guard at first.
- I have to add a few extra yards to my approach shots because I seem to catch 100% much less frequently on Minna than OOB.
- Flyers seem to be WAY more common on Minna. I think every non-PI shot I made from the rough was a flyer.
- As KRONZZZ mentioned, adjusting from ft to cm on the putts is definitely tricky. But this is already getting easier after only 5-10 rounds played.
- The music is even more annoying in Minna. I thought OOB was bad, but this is really fruity stuff. Yuck!
- I still crack up every time the caddie says "Bah-dee chuhnce" or better yet "ee-AY-guh-la try". I'll never pronounce the word "eagle" the same way again. LOL!
- I can't seem to get any G3 tourneys or game rooms started. I only have Highland Okinawa opened up so far, but I still found absolutely NO games in my first trip online.

OK, that is all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Maybe I'll see you out there soon!

I must be the only one who has no trouble transitioning putting between games. ???

Get Mace's save from gamefaqs or a friendly neighborhood Minna player. Makes getting tours easier.

04-12-2009, 09:52 PM
Thanks, Scotty. I just got Mace's savedata from gamefaqs. I'm in a G3 right now on Minna. Highland reg-tee 18H Sasha-only. I just missed the eagle putt at #3, so I'm not terribly happy. However, this must be really slow play because I am waiting FOREVER after each hole. Sigh... I did see a guy with over 400 G3 rounds played. Dude, if you can't promote from G3 after 400 rounds, it just ain't gonna happen you. Gotta admire that determination though.

Many thanks for the save data! Here I go.......

I see how it works now. These guys just want to stay in G3. I finished at -20, and the guy in first at -21 quit two seconds before the timer ended. He just handed me my first win. How honorable of him, I suppose.

They have funnier celebration videos... the Felipe one after a birdie where he whacks the ball into the air and returns to ground 100 times bigger and falls back on him is priceless.

04-12-2009, 11:00 PM
yes I have seen g2's with well over 2000 games and they just bounce from g2 to g3, back and forth.

04-12-2009, 11:51 PM
Yea the way minna celebrates birds and eags with the characters is jokes ... why did hsg not implement these i wonder

I must be the only one who has no trouble transitioning putting between games. ???

i have no trouble putting on both games because they both in metres

04-13-2009, 04:36 AM
Yeah but it is really hard when you have grown up one way your whole life and then you are expected to think a different way.

04-13-2009, 10:29 AM
It's all very basic math either way, just don't play too quickly if you're switching between both games and new to the transition.

04-13-2009, 10:32 AM
It is something you get used to after you do it enough.

I swear, IF and WHEN I get my first pod at g0 - if it's a gift with someone quitting I'll quit myself. Don't want it that way.
