Ooh, High Level Rankings! September 2010

As you may have noticed, the level 20 rankings got a makeover and a new shiny name! The former Power Players Rankings has now become “Ooh, High Level Rankings!” or “OHLR!”. Just a bit of fun :p

There is also now a new link directly from the homepage to get to the rankings easier. Just click on the banner at the top of the homepage & presto, you are here! Now I won’t have to stalk new level 20s in the lobby with a 10 step sequence, a secret knock and a security code to get here. Haha, jk :P Anyway, same rankings, new name.

What are the Ooh, High Level Rankings!? (http://www.hotshotsgolf.com/community/showthread.php?t=8255")

As always, very well done Candi!! (8th place ain't too shabby either) I cant even imagine how much time and effort you must put into this every month. Diggin the snappy new name/banner too!

And Congrats on the win! Em (you must be tired of hearing that by now tho) and to all the top tenners, ggs vwp

P.S. I did happen to notice that Mutard was not in the top ten again however. I know we've talked about this issue before and I'd rather not have to resort to more "creative" means of persuasion. So, lets go ahead and work on that for next month, hmmm?

Oh, I can't believe I forgot to thank Dimskill for his much appreciated help with collecting the stats this month, and well, every month. The Euro's would be missing from the rankings without your help. Thanks Dims :)

Candi, you and all those involved have taken the rankings to the next level! I really like the links that have been added. Keep up the good work!:)

Great work indeed Candi. I don't play much HSG lately, so i love to check the ranks to see who's playing well. Em's numbers this month are amazing, especially the pts/game. Most of the players on the list can have 2.5 pts/game in a good day or week, but when you average 2.5 pts/game in 173 tours it means that you are really good. Vwp Em :)

Thanks again for all the number crunching Candi. Because of these numbers, many GO's maintain a more vested interest in a game that would otherwise be growing stale. I believe the GO tour scene still flourishes thanks in large part to your efforts.

I can't recall seeing your name on the ranking board, but I do tend to get you confused with  FuXWhateva and ROYALTOOL. So I could be mistaken rino.

well played Griffin, well played:cool:

Hey Candi, just an FYI but my ps3 broke and I haven't gotten around to try to fix it (now owner of a nice new slim 320). My last save file was a while back so my stats are now screwed. was at around game 1056...now back to 819.

It sux that your ps3 died, I'm sorry about that. I'll make a note (for career stats) about where you lost your data. However, this is the beauty of this monthly system, just send me the stats as they stand, # of tours, wins, 2nds, pods.. and I'll just go from there. So, you'll be all good to go as far as the rankings go, and it's just a matter of getting in the 30 tours from wherever you started each month. Thanks for the heads up tho :)

Doylev

I had just checked the day before and I was 4 wins, 17 2nds, 16 pods in 60 games since 1,000.

so that would put me at
1060 146 166 236 when PS3 died

I'll check my stats when i get online again but I played 1 game w/ no pod, so it'll be 820 ? ? ?

That's balls man, sorry to hear that. :(

Candi I'm pretty sure I'm all caught up for games played, but if you could double check and just give me a number I should be at so I make the Oct rankings that'd be great.

Mason, you ended at 2189 last month. So, as long as you are at 2219, you'll qualify for October. :)

Oh wow, yeah I'm at 2286.

That's balls man, sorry to hear that. :(

Yea never fun when an expensive piece of equipment dies but now my kids have the Move thing and love it and I have a slim that saves me $$ on drawing less power.

Plus once I attempt the fix...don't know if i should try the hair dryer/PS3 in a box trick just to get my save files or go all out and try the heat gun/ylod fix...either way, I'll try and get the data back since I was on a nice run of 2nd's the last month. Couple other games on there too that have some saves I want back.

try it doy, doesn't take a smarty pants to figure it out

even if you only get the console to work for 30 minutes, that'll be enough time to snatch ^_^ your game data

Doylev

I'm actually pretty technical (built my last 3 pc's from scratch) so not too worried about that part. Just trying to locate a heat gun is my main obstacle...facebook is failing me. 500 friends and not one heat gun owner!

The sooner I fix it the better as I don't want to rack up a bunch of tournaments only to have them reset again when i recover the data.

You can pick up an adequate heat gun for around $25 on ebay (including shipping). So not that much more than having a friend lend you one and having to pay shipping 2 ways.

The YLOD fix would be my suggestion. If you apply the thermal paste correctly you should get 3 months or more out of the unit.

I guess I dont know what kind of unit you have, but the 20/60 and 80 units should be fine for it. The 40's and later seem a bit more finicky. That could however just be me.

That's what she said.
