Using wireless seems really sketchy with the PS3. I bought a 50 foot cable to go directly from my modem to the PS3 and have had next to no trouble. My wife hates the cord running all the way down the hall but net errors REALLY suck....way worse than a little nagging from the Mrs. ;)

Yeah, keep your PS3 hardwired if possible. If you have a really good wireless router then net errors shouldn't really be a problem, but I still say better safe than sorry if it's not a hassle to a run a cord.

I have wireless and except for 1 month or so in the summer have had very few net errors on HSG however I hnwe almost every other game on Minna. It's getting frustrating but hard wiring my PS3 is not an option so I guess I have to live with it.

I use the Netgear wall-plug network adapter (XE-102), and its worked flawlessly since i've been playing OOB. Not one network error at all. And eliminated the 50ft cable running through the house.

I had a similar problem random disconnects 10 out of 15 rounds network error reared its ugly head, went hardwire and solved the problem. Now got the powerline things Morpheus mentioned no more network errors sweet.

Where can I get this adapter in Canada and do you know anywhere with a good return policy. I'd like to try it but need to use it to see if it works as my router is fairly close to my PS3 and generally I have a 100% signal strength anyways although I do have a dirt cheap router, so not sure it would be that effective.

i got a wireless router which is in adajacent room to the ps3, and i very very very rarely have net errors. i've only had 2 in online play altogether, including game rooms and tourns. It seems to work fine.. Nice Thompson router is nice to me, even when running PS3, Wii, Ds and Pc out of it in 1 go.

I had this problem for months, and could not even visit lobby one because it would be so glitchy. My wireless router finally died and I purchase a new one of the same kind. The tech told me that my router was "expired" and they typically only work well for a year or two. Once it starts booting you off or issue more than one computer the same IP address (which was my main problem), it is time to get a new one.

Once I replaced my router I have not once received a network error, just a keyboard typing freeze.

Warning: do not type and hit enter when the clock strikes "0" ..... you will freeze up your game! NO, THIS IS STILL NOT FIXED. HAPPENED TWICE IN LAST WEEK TO ME. This is worse than network error, because at least with net error you can get mad at your signal. When this happens all you can do is call YOURSELF an idiot!

It was fixed for the jp game. If the virtual keyboard is open, it is automatically closed at 1 second, preventing the 0 second entry glitch.

Not fixed for OOB/EGWT though. >:(

I am 2 times an Idiot... LMAO the first time I didn't know it would be a reoccuring issue.
Only 3 time I've had a connection problem and all 3 were Text entry freeze ups.
I have had my PS3 hardwired since day one.

Hopefully it is fixed soon but until then I just try and avoin last second chatting in tour/game.
