Really, this course is killing me. Especially hole #2. I can't approach the green on that lily pond without WH-ing at least once. So far, after playing through this course about 20 times, my score is an astounding -1 on Regular and +2 on Long, so you can imagine that I'm in desperate need of help here. :'(

nah dont worry, what was your first outings like on oceania/crown?

i have played and i checked this last night jurrasic REG 8 times -7 and jurrasic LT 10 time -8

it takes time to work it out IMO .

just practice it i guess, the second hole i have eagled once and even then i got lucky as the ball stopped in the rough.......

** for those who dont know, jurrasic no 2 is kinda like oceania 5 where you can go for eagle or have a disaster..........my advice for G0 games is play the safe birdie as this is only hole 2 and its not as if you need to chase the game!!

First round I went for it with loads of risky shots and got a -1 for 18 so I adopted a more conservative approach to feel my way round and ended up with a -13. That hole two I drove the ball through the trees got lucky twice but now I lay it up about 240 - 250 yards on the left and the 2nd shot wasn't too bad. There is a par three later on surrounded by lava and I've found the shot needs a power shot to clear the lava the heat must shorten the flight. The hole I'm having trouble with is the par 5 with the volcano in the middle any tips there would be greatly appreciated.

Well if anything, you'd think the heat would cause the ball to carry further, right? :P

That hole is weird, but there's no difference from any other hole, it's just deceiving. It's about 6-7y downhill, but you're hitting a 3-5w off the tee, a 1% difference in power is 2.5 yards, which is about all you'd need compensate. 98% off that tee is very dangerous, because then you're looking at only about 245y in distance and certainly not all of it will be carry because a 98% tee shot is a product of missing PI. So when you're hitting about 237y in the air on a hole that demands at least 240 of carry, it seems like there's something else going on, but it's just a problem you tend to see with long par 3s, PI/non PI with a fairway wood can produce wild difference.

As for the course itself, I'd be more than happy to play around with anyone having trouble with it. I recently managed to shoot -20 there Reg Tee (ha with an OB shot on #9), but the course definitely presents problems for me regularly as it does for most people, -16 was my stuck point for like two weeks (and that's if I managed to avoid like a triple on some random hole). I'm afraid if I did a hole-by-hole strat I'd be typing all day.

Thanks for the tips there Mason it would be nice to be given a tour of the course by you if it's cool we'll have to sort that out sometime.

Where's this course rank compared to peaks and crown?

I would say it's similar in difficulty to the peaks just tricky first couple of goes

can't wait for a new challenge on HSG/EG.
Starting to know my way round pretty effectively around Peaks/Crown/Ocean.
I want to get LVL 20 before getting Minna though, coz it makes sense.
