Right now random ladder matches will count towards the ladder.
What I want to know is if you want it just to be random matches or also include tourneys and match play. Please let me know what you think?

Whatever option wins, is how ladder matches will be set in the rules.

Rdawg, when you say "tourneys and match play," are you referring to those league games and match tourneys set up on this site? Or are you including, say, GF and graded tourneys? For example, if we play a G0 tourney, do we all have to report the results to the ladder everytime? Or could it be two or more people in the G0 say, "Hey let's make this particular G0 tourney count towards the ladder" and then you post results of those (and only those) who agreed beforehand to have it count toward the ladder?

Referring to tourney//matches set on this site only. However, other tourneys that you happen to be in with other members online, sure, as long as you agree before hand thats fine.
Thoughts RD?

We are seeing if everyone will have to report for any MATCH PLAY or LEAGUE PLAY games. So yes that would be tournaments, like the one today.
But if people shoot it down, we can agree to who wants it to count or not. Since the voting is not done yet, me and rowdy are playing this like a ladder match.

Cool, if it's just league games and matches set up on this site, I'm fine with them counting (I voted yes).
And thanks, Morpheus, for the clarification on how other tourneys can be used.

Having just finished playing in the 7-man ladder match, I would advise against forcing all registered people to play ladder matches in tournaments...actually I`d say it`s basically a logistic nightmare. Having two or three guys prior to a tournament agree to do a ladder match during the tournament is a much easier way of doing it and way more manageable. It`s possible to have up to 10+ matches in one tournament and with some people not participating, the leaderboard would be too complicated to figure out. So while I voted yes for league and ladder play, it was mainly for the purpose of allowing matches within those tournaments, not forcing players to have to do ladders everytime.

Yeah forcing is not the way to go.
I think if you can agree before hand or on the pre tournament chat option in the game
then you can agree on if you want to participate in the ladder.
The only problem I see with this though is now that the site is starting to grow rapidly
you might have a hard time determining who is included on the ladder site.
My PSN name does not match my Forum or Ladder name. I wish I could change it but
unless trophies become available in this game I will not be activating my sub-account
which is "rowdybusch"
I have too much game play invested under matsondean77 which I used for everything
up until I started playing HSG.

Yeah, it could be difficult to track. The Wednesday league tourney last night had about 20 or so people in the tourney, 10 or so were in the league. We asked "ladder match anyone?" several times, and to keep up with who wanted and didn't, we basically had to keep scrolling up and down during the whole pre-game chat to see if anyone responded....seemed a little inefficient, yet hectic.
