There has been several people online cheating on Open Tee 2. They are hacking the save file so they can change a character's stats.

I have seen a person with a drive of 538 yards and all stats are at Level 30. Is anything going to happen to these people that are cheating online or is there nothing that can be done.

Thanks.

Hopefully they'll release a patch to fix exploits like this, but I imagine that even if a patch is released, someone will just figure out a way to hack it again.

The only thing I can suggest is because the games are so small online that if I see someone cheating I'm simply gonna quit the game...

Why would anyone want to drive it 500+ yards... If some one showed up with maxed stats in a game
that I was playing just to crush everyone that would be no fun for anyone. These games are supposed
to be fun. People who expolit it with hacks & cheating have no class.

I hope that I don't have to quit a game because someone thinks it is cool to be an undeserving king.

I am all for losing fairly... that just make me want to improve.
But if someone wants to beat me just because they have cheated they can kiss my butt.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Haven't seen this yet....but if I see maxed out people in the lobby I simply wouldn't play...

I haven't seen this anymore. I don't know if they are staying on top of it better, so if you are, excellent job.

There is a new kind of cheating so everyone knows. I saw Pan46 do it today. Everytime he took a stroke it stayed at 1. So he would always end up with a hole-in-one.

I don't approve of cheating, it's all just a game, but people cheat because they are too lazy to put some effort into games and screw everything up. We can all hope Datel (makers of a cheating accessory "Action Replay") would go out of business. :P

To catch the cheaters watch their # of strokes and if it stays at 0, they are cheating. The easiest thing to do is just leave and find another match or room.

you should carry this over to the Out of bounds area also. Saw cars123whatever with a score of -55 for highlands course.

That would be a scoring glitch, not cheating.

not sure what u mean by "scoring glitch" , but saw several more peeps today with similar scores including a -33 on front nine at highlands. Just to be clear, these are the scores posted when you look at peeps profile in the lobby.

It is a glitch in the game, it isn't people cheating.

It's a very bad glitch that causes you to have really high scores which ruins the ability to ever see your real high score.

i guess my problem with the glitch theory is that scenario u described with Pan46 would result in similar scores to what i've been seeing. You seem pretty confident about it being a glitch, is that your opinion or .....?

It is a fact on the ps3. It is a glitch.

The PSP can be hacked pretty easily so all games online are suspect to cheating.
