Minna no Golf online is my fave, I even bought a Japanese ps2 just for that game.

Also put in many gaming hours in 3 & Fore, hard to pick but Im going with Fore.

OOB mostly because of the graphics and adv swing option. Online playablility is a big factor as well.

I miss the game selection option in HSG 1. You could select the games/ bets you wanted to play REALLY miss that option!

You know what other feature I miss, the shop. I miss buying clubs and other items.

To me, Fore! was the best by a longshot. 12 full courses + short course + mini-putt, store, and overall great production made it a winner and provided countless hours of fun.

It's great to see the high-res graphics of OOB, but overall it feels like a step back, with the exception of online. Too few courses, too long to unlock them, and in general designs aren't as good as fore (although I do love the Safari course); OOB also has generally terrible sound production. I hope the next HSG is to OOB what Fore was to 3 i.e. includes everything from OOB + way more content and better production on all fronts.

I have not played the PSP versions, though, so can't judge those.

Fore was great properly developed for the PS2.
I have to say I played tons of 2 & 3... Fore I couldn't put down for the longest time.
But now that I have experienced OOB, This one has me hooked and I don't know if
I'll be able to put it down for quite some time.

I miss a couple of things like mini courses & mini putt but the online portion of OOB
makes this by far my favourite game in the series.

I really liked the first one because I belive that the only HSG thats had a "fantasy" course on it...Basically a course that isn't very realistic real golf wise, but was rediculously difficult.

Then I played a ton of HSG3. The "challenge mode" took a lot longer to beat and I liked the shop. Plus the characters seemed a lot more fun in general.

Fore is the only game I never finished...I dunno why...I just got bored honestly unlocking stuff and never went back...

Depending on your perspective, thats either a compliment to FORE or a dirty rag on it! So please clarify...."Crack" as in the addictive drug? or "Crack" is in what separates your rump?

As with alot of franchise next gen releases, game creators think that we'll accept a large drop in content in exchange for boosted resolution and poly count. For the most part they're right. But why can't we have both content and graphics? We should have every previous course, updated and polished, available for download. They should even have course and character creation by now. I'll vote OOB but don't think I'm not irked about course selection.

Crack is in my wife's definition a game that I never put down until the new Ratchet and Clank came out. As many others will contend on this site, I was constantly on FORE!

OOB, as its the only version i have played.
Am quite looking forward to another edition lets hope the on-line magic is still there for that one.
A shop would be a great idea, instead of prizes for podding, points to buy things for lobby character.

Lol, thats true. To be honest, Fore is the only HSG game Ive played. In 2004, I never heard of HSG. Then 1 day I went with my dad to see my brother. He was playing HSG4 and I decided to give it a shot, and I fell in luv with it(Jak was my favorite character). Even though online play for that game is dead, I still play HSG4. Its so fun, that I cant get away from it. Im hoping to get either a PS3 or a PSP for Christmas, and if I do, the 1st game that I buy will be an HSG game. Lets just hope for the best right now.

can only be HSG:OOB coz its my first HSG game.. i seemed to pick it up so fast, and it i always get mates from school saying i spend to much time on it and should go play LBP with em.

Yeah, the courses were awesome. Day Dream was my worst nightmare, lol. And the characters were very awesome as well. U know Zerox, me and u both like Jak. Of course, thats bcuz he's awesome. Have u ever played any of the Jak games like Jak 2 or Jak 3?

yes i have and i loved them. but i never played rhe racing one...
and Daxter is funny i am currently playing daxter for the psp its pretty good cuz it takes place i think before Jak 2 cuz jak was locked up and daxter saved him (as it seems)

I never played Jak X(the racing game) either. And yes, Daxter is a pretty cool video game character. He's the ultimate jokester. Its funny.
Daxter is in a game called PAIN. I loved smashing him into buildings and stuff:D

I agree that Fore was the best. The online component, though different from OOB as it lacked the whole lobby and avatar aspect was great. You made your own tournaments instead of having to wait for one to start, and match play (called rival in Fore) was great as well. Played that game for 4 years online until they shut off the server on the day OOB was released in NA.

Something's not right with the poll results. I click on the current results for HSG4 (which is 16) and notice no names under HSG4. It seems those names ended up in HSG3 like mine, and I didn't even choose HSG3. I chose HSG4.

I like Open Tee 2 lots of characters and courses, the ability to build your characters and customize their appearance is what attracted me to this game.
