View Full Version : Fix HSG OB
Ive been a loyal player of HSG 1-4 now this game. Something is off with the ganeplay. I used to shoot an avrage a -15 round with the other games now barely a -5 - -7. The club distances are way off for measurements. I know how to read the wind and ball lies etc. If I shoot for a par 3 and its 200yards lets say. The club goes 200yds no wind and the green is 5 yards down. Assumeing I hit the ball 100% and everything else perfect why would I wind up short? over and over again. Is there something I'm missing or is this the new game makers idea of making the game harder by giving random distances to clubs? Thanks

I have too noticed this with a few of the par 3s but for the most part the ball goes where it is suppose too. The only problem I have with this version is there was not enough courses from the start. I realize they did this so they could sell us new ones, but they r not releasing new courses fast enough. R you a traditional player or an advance player?
advanced. even this ball flight thing ive noticed from the fairway while chipping into the greens from 150yards at least always having to play a club up and trying to hit it 100% to to see it make it there. The ball definately does not fly and land like other previous HSG's

I think the lipouts are more realistic in this game than in previous titles. In other titles if you were near the cup it would go in.

I agree that sometimes the shots doesn't make sense. Especially on the Oceania par 3's. A couple of experiences; hole 9: about 195y to the hole, 3y below the tee off spot, good wind in the back (helps the ball go further, in other words). I use a 197y club, hit 100% and the ball falls into the water 15y ahead of the hole... WTF??? Then I get a drop on the fairway, 45y from the hole, a little above me now, still wind in the back. Hit with a 60y chipper, about 80%, get good %-s, so the ball should easily go at least 40y and get into the bunker at worst. Nope, water once again... WTF??? Didn't feel like continuing the bullshit tournament after that...
Another time, hole 16; a little less than 200y to the hole, wind in the back, hit with a 205y or so club, max power, good %'s, yet the ball still ends up short and drops OOB... WTF???
But I must say, this has only happened to me on Oceania, as far as I can remember. Maybe they didn't do enough testing on that course before they released it?

This game is quite different than previous versions. The "math" for calculating dist,wind,slope ect has changed a little but aint been able to figure it out totally. Have learned you must use maxed out character or math changes as level increases.. Really dont like the inconsistency in the new game.....any that disagree try goin to training and repeating the same shot... with 10 perfect impacts you may get 7 differnt results....anyhow I'll just keep practicing
