ARGH >:( >:( >:( >:(

so i was playing fortress right now. I picked lee and set it up with pinhole club, and got her control up to a 29 rating.

and three, yes THREE, times off the tee, she hits a ball going the wrong way.

I wasn't aiming left. But she yanked it that way. I wasn't aiming right the second time, but she pushed it that way. The third time she decided to go left again.

Wtf is the point of setting up super high control ratings with pinhole clubs if she's still going to randomly yank shots at the same rate as ever? And no this isn't the first time this has happened to me, just the first time I got ticked off enough to actually post about it.

This begs the question; did you hit PI? ;)

if this is anything like OOB, then PI does make a difference. Even with very high control stats, there is still a margin for it to go slightly left or right. Higher control just means the range in which it can go left and right is lessened.

Not to mention, Fortress has CRAZY WIND so any *tiny* mistake is going to be amplified!

No one can hit the shots straight all the time, even with a control of 30. But if you hit PI, it will narrow the chance of hitting a slight push or a slight pull.

I know PI makes a difference.

It's just that it feels pointless to use pinhole stuff to get "control" up super high only to find out that your character will continue to mess up shots at the same rate as before.

Meh, I'm over it now, I was just really frustrated last night by it.

Power and Full Power can also make a considerable difference with control off the tee.
