What's the best strategy for this par 5? I just found myself in trouble on this hole with an expert character on my 2nd shot because I got stuck behind the trees. Is turbiting a good move here or should I play it short and hope for the best on the 2nd shot?

Depends on wind and pin position, if pin is on left side of green I usually go for a long shank shot, if the pin is on the right side of the green, I'll lay up and make sure I have clear shot through the trees. I forget if it's L2 or R2 but one of them moves the cursor to the landing position of the aim marker, that gives you your 2nd shot perspective and will help determining a safe landing area for a clear approach. Ive also seen other people use the fairway to the right and approach the hole from the other fairway on the second shot, contigent on wind, that also can be good approach.

Left or right edge of fairway (even drop to a 3 or 4w for an expert if needed), middle = tree lottery.

it's important to consider the ball lie for the 2nd shot--edge of the fairway seems to be the best plan, but a gnarly tilt on the ball can make shooting through the trees a nightmare.

i wouldn't recommended shooting over the frontside bunker to reach the pin--rolling there is much safer
