Help with voice chat

ok im wondering if anyone else has had this problem and can help. if i try to enable voice chat in match play we do everything right but can not hear each other. both mics are working, we enable voice chat option, the mics vibrate on screen but still no sound. can anyone help? we in two different countires. would that cause the problem? or might it just be a connection issue? any help would greatly appreciated. ???

Did you make sure to connect them under accessory settings under the PS3 settings option.


Just so you know, everytime you turn on your PS3 you need to connect the Mic under this option.



Me and Clint had this problem so sometimes we need to create a chatroom and talk there then go play resident evil. Why we have to do this, I have no idea, but it does work.

Check audio option in the accessory menu, make sure your headset or blue tooth is enable. Test the sound level which should be around 3 or 4. save setting. Or re scan blue tooth and check audio and setting again if it's still not working.

yeah all that stuff is good to go. we chat all the time and we were in a chatroom talking right before we went into lobby and tried to play a match. everything is good except the actual match. her connection is a bit crap at times, ie not allowing us to connect for chat rooms, so i feel this may be the real issue. thanks for the help and it was fast too :) any other ideas?

I'd re-scan everything just to be sure :-[ So speaker icon is working but no sound? again ; re-check in audio set up and see if the right blue tooth/ head set is enable. I do have 2 head set so I have to make sure the one I'm using is enable and tested. Hope this work for you.

Some bluetooths have to be paired up everytime the PS3 is fired up as RD stated, that could be it, but in reality I think you might have a unique problem going on.

I had that problem with Jacob once --- for a couple of weeks we couldn't get our voicechat in golf to work. It had worked in the past, then one day stopped. Everything set up the same, no settings changed -- just POOOF it doesnt work. Then one day we tried it again, and BLAM, working. HELLIFIKNOW. ;p

Try the following: 1. Each of you voicechat with someone ELSE. see if it works or who is experiencing the problem.
2. Voice chat with eachother in ANOTHER game -- or in psn chatroom. See if you hear eachother THERE.

At least then you'll know for sure who has the problem -- and if it's hsg or the headsets themselves.

wow thanks for all the great advice. we well try this and hopefully it will work now. we feel like we're missing out on one the coolest parts of the game with this not working grr. again thanks and i'll let ya'll know what happens. hehe i can type happens here woo hoo.
