Here is what I would do if I were in your shoes cars. Go into a different lobby, like our 1-10-10. When in tour mode go to screen where you cannot see the words. Get through them quickly and by the time you are G0 if anyone has any words to you then screw them. But yeah, that is how I would do it. I would get all guilty feeling and end up dropping and giving pods away or something. So that is the only way not to hear them roar.

Yeh, cars, I was watching my wife (PizzaGirl8042) play you in one of those G2 tours and there was some definite hating goin on, not just against you but other people as well. Let's hope that those people grow tired of the game and move on to something else. The one thing that has really drawn me to this game is the good people that I've gotten to know while playing it (and the fact that I love all that is golf!). I'm probably going to run into you while you blow thru G1 and I'll be sure to wish you luck!

mr. cars' statistics will remain in the power rankings as an homage, but i'm sure he'll replace his old stats with better ones soon enough. there's definitely plenty of tournaments with the new schedule, and cars has already admitted to playing 70 hours a week at one point.

I dont know about the 2nd game, but the first 2nd he got -- he did on purpose I believe. He said he made himself go OB so that he'd not take 1st place, and would hopefully quiet down the haters -- but it didn't help. Then they just mocked I'm sure.

Screw it. It's NOT his fault his ps3 died. He would NOT choose to be a non-g0 at any point again -- he dominates in g0 on a regular basis. Why would he? These people who complain need to get over themselves. Or just sit and wait a couple of days, he'll be gone by then :P

If more people were as understanding as this then it would be a far better environment online. Yep there are people that purposly go out of their way to create other accounts but before people fire off back handed comments they shoudl really get their facts straight. Pizza Man and Wife are a true credit to this forum and the game, i tip my hat and offer any help i can give on getting you guys promo'd if you ever need it.

Folks need to understand that some things are out of the control of people. If a person says they're PS3 died or they lost their save, you should give them the benefit of the doubt. Especially if it's a well-respected person like Cars who has done nothing but be helpful to all who asked.

Unless someone is gleefully rubbing people's faces in their wins, you need to respect and understand their predicament. In no way did Cars want this to happen or want to have to go through all the grades again. On top of it, he will have to win another 30 games in G0 to get back to the level he was at before. That takes a lot time and effort.

If anyone is rude to Cars here on the forum or in the lobbies without trying to understand the situation, they will be dealt with harshly by me and all of the good people here who know he is in a very difficult situation.

Atleast 5 haters when the weather gets nice as in summertime, and slightly fewer in the winter. When my yellow 1992 Ford Escort gets washed this summer I should be up to about 3 haters in my town, and I'm going to flaunt it yea haha.

Seriously, Cars, you know you are good, you don't need those chumps getting you down, even though I'm pretty sure they are relentless in their annoying ways. And by no means do not give away wins or pods to them, I wouldn't hold back at all- pour it on them and make 'em eat your -20's every tornament you play in.

I think then they will quite down a little. But by then you'll be back to your normal stats, so it's all good.

I'm really sad to hear about this, and actually a little bit surprised as well. :'( I mean, it would be one thing if he had made a new account and started playing with that. That I could easily see could cause some to complain about the whole 2nd account thing. But when it is the same account as before, and it shows up as a G3, people should really do the math and understand that something has actually happened to his account and that he plays because he HAS to, not because he WANTS to. I mean, Cars is a legend on our server, and so regularly on that anybody who's been in the game long enough to make G2 are BOUND to have heard about him, and likely also have seen him with his G0 account in the lobbies SEVERAL times. Is it really so hard to understand, then, that he's playing G3, G2 and G1 because he HAS to?

Stick it out, Cars. Just ignore it all, look at the score cards instead of the chat screen, and don't respond to them unless they actually ask what's happened instead of mocking you.

Okay --- So had a situation in lobby1. So many people saw it -- so I'm posting about it in here. Since rumors are bound to spread, figured this is one way to get the actual information relayed.

Cars was in g1 tour (with aero and nitro -- and many others). Apparently Aero finished one below podium. Nitro decided it was to be his mission to defend her against the evil cars pod thief. PFFFT. SHE understood and wasn't upset (btw) once she knew that he was there bc his system died. Still SOME people want to take up this cause and are spreading lies and nonsense.

Okay People. Once and For All: (On a point by point basis, even Nitro agreed with me--but somehow couldn't put the entire thing together in a reasonable way.grrrr)

1. If a person loses their data (legitimately) and they are forced to restart from g3 -- they have the SAME right to be in the tour as everyone else.

2. Just because a person is BETTER than others does NOT mean they ARE REQUIRED to drop out -- to help out the "little guy" Heck, if Cars dropped out EVERY time someone not as good as him Almost got the podium/win -- he'd be in g1 for the rest of his life. The simple truth is this: he's better than most of em. And so he won't be there very long. Deal with it.

Okay. So. It seems pretty dammmmnnn Simple to me, and i'm SO sick of hearing ppl talking BULL in the lobbies about Cars. He will NOT be in g1 long--he is good enough that he will zoom through and be back in g0 in no time. His system died, he's ALLOWED to climb back through the ranks to get back to where he RIGHTFULLY should be. He did NOT create 2nd accounts just for fun and games -- he did not "reset" his acct to get a better record. He was QUITE bothered about having to do this, in fact. It's just a part of life, ps3's die. It happens.

Also, I am still considering doing the quest for the pink apron. I think I LEGITIMATELY deserve that apron (BLEEP!) and is a prize I would wear as a permanant outfit, I have wanted it since G2. But, to do it, I will have to deal with haters, and probably be called a hypocrite as well.

The hating is ridiculous and the good part (if there is one), is that it isn't coming from everyone, only a few poor unfortunates who have no clue how to play this game as fun. Yep confiming Kronzz on that - unfortunately there is no details as to whether they are the standard versions or the full extended additions?? I would imagine that withe size capacity of the blu ray that it may contain both versions but we'll have to wait and see.

I heard somewhere that the LOTR movies being released on Blu-ray this year will only be the Theatrical Versions, and that they're holding off the Extended Versions to coincide with the release of "The Hobbit" in 2011...

Which, in turn, means that I won't actually see those movies in HD before 2011, since I'm not going to see the Theatrical versions again, after having seen the superior Extended Cuts... :'(

The main problem we face here that the LOTR films are New Line Cinema releases and the Hobbit is a Warner release. Although they are in essence the same studio being part of the AOL TIme Warner group it does tend to cause some issues when it comes to release dates on things.
Warner purposely put back the new Harry Potter film from December to June this year because they had to main blockbusters have funding pulled and had no summer release.
