how to play the japan version

Is there something special we have to do to play the japanese version? or is it simply buying it and playing it on our machine, and thats it?

Will just playing with that game connect you to Japan servers?

Well, yes and no. Just playing it on our machines will connect you to the Japan server IF you have a Japan PSN account. That's the trick. You need to sign up a Japanese PSN account to play on the Japanese server...

Fairly certain that's incorrect Cartman. If you have Minna No Golf 5 (JPN version), the game will automatically connect you to the Japanese server. I'm sure that's right 'cos a) I've heard people say that and b) I see people on my friends list on their EU/US PSNs playing MNG5 online.

So - no JPN PSN required - UNLESS you want to get DLC. If you want to purchase the required DLC you'll need to go to the Japanese PSN store and that requires a Japanese PSN account.

yes cartman is wrong, simply load game and connect automatically.

you need a JP acount if you want to buy downloadable content.

I stand corrected. I just figured you needed a Japanese PSN account after all the talk about how to make one on the other forum. ;)
