Please sign your name below if you feel that it is about time Dimskill got his son The Dreamcaster his own PS3. For the good of the online community it is about time DC got a bit more airtime in the lobbies.

I was doing my first paper round at eleven, and saved it up for a pair of skates back in the day. Took ages cos they were expensive. So I vote that DC should work for it, you will appreciate it far better.

Setting up a payment program through dim woudn't be a terrible idea if DC can't get his own line of credit. Make him pay it off by like 5% every week with the standard 19.9% interest compounded bi-weekly, and a buyout clause that holds no interest (aside from what has been paid already).
This way dim gets a little more cash and DC gets his PS3. And if he screws up you put the boots to him, medium style, then there's the bat, cornfield, Joe Pesche, Casino, bang, problem solved.

Doesn't sound like a bad idea though Mace. But we can't let DC get off too lightly maybe 25% interest rate!!

I think 29.9% is the usual rate for dealing with dodgy customers...

So if we could get a signed agreement with DC on that figure is it a go then Dims?

Probably get 15% if dim cosigns :)

Being the lender I'm not sure dim wants to co-sign on as a borrower as well.

Yup, lender as co-signer probably not the way to go. For interest, 19.9% is probably about right (even for a "dodgy" customer like Dream) since the loan is fully collateralized anyway. Should he fail to make a payment, you can pocket the payments-to-date and you've just acquired a second PS3. Sounds pretty win / win to me.

dodgy customer. PFFT
he borrows money off me more often and then i have to remind him to pay me back.
look guys, i'll look into getting my own, since i hace a Wii in my room i don't actually use that much and a shed loads of games.
the only thing is, is i would feel terrible, as it was a present. as were most of the games..
Its tough.
