So for the next Hot Shots Golf what would you like to see added the most. I know I would love a mini golf course. Its a nice break from the game.

yeah, but I'd like a mini golf course thats not some stupid hit an exact perfect shot or your ball goes flying off into nowhere...I hate those courses in real life. I like the ones that have obstacles and challenges, but it doesn't need to be impossibly hard...

The option to play different games and assign point values to the games. Like bingo bango bongo for 2 pts long drive 1 pt close the pin 1 pt etc.........this was available in HSG 1

Par three course is missing and was a really cool way to change things up and try to make some aces!

Something I would like to see added is the ability to see who has signed up
for a tournament. Rather than just show that "X" number of friends have joined.

If it could be patched into the current version that would be great.

However maybe it could be add to a future installment of this great series!

Well for a next game, I would be hoping for everything that Fore had that OOB does not:
-MORE courses
-Mini-golf
-Shop
-Decent sound production

Also, less emphasis on character loyalty so you don't have to grind each of them so much would be great.

And while we're at it, 1080p graphics please ;D

I see a lot of people playing " Big Cup Mode " which makes it easier for players to chip in the ball and make long 40' or longer putts with ease and getting low scores...

Now what i would like to see added to the game is " Small Cup Mode " where the cup is the same size of the ball thus making it harder for chipin shots and long putts....

this should be added to online play....

missing the green on purpose to chip a shot in for more points is just plain stupid. Sooner or later it will cost you a stroke which is more important.


Not only that, chips not on Highlands or Okinawa are not even close to being automatic.

Yes I know that trying to reach the fringe and not the green is foolish and stupid..but people do it to get more points for a chip shot....

I try to reach the green in regulation then try to make the putt....because when it comes down to golf it all has to do with putting the ball into the hole

I definitely miss the Short Courses or PAR 3.

This was a very nice way to fine tune your approach shots and take a quick break from 18 hole courses.

Also, whatever happened to the DIVOTS from the original games?

Those were super cool and you could erase them after - eh - playing 2 or 3 (hundred) games right?

Finally, please bring back the Pro Shop!

We bought the game. We spend many hours playing the game. Loyalty upgrades are just not enough. Let us spend our hard earned points on cool goodies!

Create a course would also be cool. We could use existing holes or make our own, right? :D

Theres not much room left to work with on the psp umd for ot2(until they start making multi umd games which i personally neva seen) and i dont have a ps3 so idk if these things are already there but a couple features id love is

1) a driving range with total control of cup placement/wind/ and elevations
2) a mini golf which i seen some other members post
3) some sorta create a character
4) NEW/BETTER or at least a findable comment set where you can personalize a comment or 2, even if its from a list of preselected words to prevent offensive language and whatnot, but the comments online are just horrid(the domestics are a lil better than the world servers, but cmon, lol Its nighttime here........wtf

If not a complete create-a-course tool-box, it would be cool to make a course comprised of holes from existing courses. You could have 18 par 5's or par 3's. It would help to have more courses to take holes from in that case.

I actually prefer the realistic approach in the latest hsg game
Hitting with a oversized lolipop didnt fancy me at all.
Although i do like the courses unrealistic.
I reckon have more outrages courses, with risky short cuts, wood be sic
Have it so u can change costumes, but have it limited, which actually looks resonable, and not an endless list of irrational costumes which are never used.

A changing difficulty would be cool tho.
Changing the sizes of the cups would be a good way to do this.

and the mini put thingy would be cool 2.

Also, maybe more emphasace could be put on the lobby, Replace the menu as a massive lobby.
u could have ur own appartment in the lobby, and decorate it and stuff,
and other players could visit ur room, and do stuff like look at all ur chip in videos and stats.

Making your own hole and posting it online so the whole world could play it would be great. Im sure we would see some brilliant holes, from people with a crazy imagination.

Sometimes i think in games, why the makers dont put in certain stuff, which would make the game so much better.

i would like to see people added. ive never seen such an empty server. hsgf used to get up to 18-30 people, that was pathetic yet seems like a metropolis compared to OT2 which has a useless online mode.

An "unlimited" timer for online stroke play rounds, like you were playing locally. (Reason: my friend just got the game, and I'm trying to help him, but we can only play online, and I have to be concise so we don't time out mid-round)

That being said, headsets/voice chat for stroke play.

And this may just be me, but I'd like to see totals in stats, like Total Albatross: 2, Total Eagles: 164, etc.

And on the topic of guest characters, how about Crash Bandicoot or Rayman just for nostalgia's sake?

Sorry this is long, but I have quite a list (some of these ideas have been recycled, in another form, from other video golf games, including other HSGs) for offline play:

1) Create a golfer.

And after selecting gender and appearance, you've got three templates to build from: One is your basic long-but-less accurate hitter, three is your more-accurate-but-shorter hitter, while two is the most balanced template with greater spin potential than the other two.

2) Raise that golfer, RPG style.

In my HSG, there are, let's say, ten different tours:

1) Amateur
2) Top Amateur
3) Amateur Aces
4) Amateur Elite
5) Semi-Pro A
6) Semi-Pro B
7) Junior Pro
8) Top Pro
9) Pro Aces
10) Pro Elite

And with each tour you complete (you must win that tour's Player of the Year award to advance to the next tour), your template adds to each stat category (Distance, Side-Spin, Control, Impact, Spin) based on how you performed in those official tournaments. You don't just randomly jump in stats because you've moved up in rank - for instance, if you play in ten events and your Perfect Impact percentage was 45%, then you get 5 Impact points when you graduate to the next tour.

See, in this way, you could take a long-but-erratic template character and make his accuracy improve in such a way that he is, by the time he reaches the Pro Elite tour, a perfect character. I'm not saying it would be easy - but it would be much more rewarding than playing some established character, as has been the case in HSG.

3) Related to the Tours idea, let's have Major tournaments on that schedule

This is necessary. Let's say there are twenty events in a given tour - well, within those twenty events, four of those tournaments should be majors. The NPCs are tougher. The rough gets taller. The greens get faster. The holes get longer. The croud sounds are much more loud and dramatic. And of course, you win more Player of the Year points for winning majors.

4) More real-life course mimicry

Of course, United Forest is Augusta thinly disguised. Royal and Links reminds me strongly of Turnberry, while Bagpipe Classic is reminiscent of St. Andrews. We need more of this in HSG - how about Pacific Cliffs (Pebble Beach)? Or Everglade Shores (Sawgrass)? Pinestraw #7 (Pinehurst #2)? (Obviously, these names are suggestions of mine - Clap Hanz is free to use them with my blessing. :D)

5) It is not necessary to make every ninth hole a Par-5.

The ability to play 4 player team games like fourball and better ball, with full voice comm support for all 4 player games.

And something in the lobby to make the waits more interesting, the ability to play a mini game with a friend on your own... maybe a golf related mini game like EG2 on the PSP or something even more diverse like old skool arcade cabinets in the lobby with high score tables.

I'd really love to see the par 3 9 hole challenge from Everybody's Golf 2 on the PS1 make a return. It was basically 9 holes of solely par 3's from different courses. It was really fun to play on and it would be very interesting as a tournament event.

More lobby parts would be nice to see, as would lots of new courses - preferably as wacky and challenging as the last 'dream' course on the very first Everybody's Golf game. More ranks would also be a welcome addition, making it harder for us to reach the higher ranks so that the better golfers of the game are separated from the ones who aren't.

Oh, and the replays section needs to be able to hold lots more videos. Also, lots more stats like in the PS1, PS2 games would be nice.

In online match play there is voice chat. But thats the only mode in that game you can do that.

Another new feature I'd like to see? Night-time golf. Playing golf by the light of the moon or the polar lights would be sweet.
