Lol thanks Clint, the Scooby's My pride & joy i've spent over £25k on modifing it but unfortunately now im always on the motorway I needed more of a cruiser than high performance car so I bought the Accord Coupe. Its still a monster being its had the 300bhp 3ltr V6 NSX engine dropped into it (standard was 3ltr V6 single Cam 196bhp) and enough engine work to put out a tastey 380-420bhp its suprisingley good on fuel & as long as you keep it below the V-Tec it runs like any other motorway cruiser.
The Scooby was a beast a few moths back, full on quarter mile runner but have stripped alot of the engine upgrades out & put it back to pretty much standard to make it easier to sell, although the Type RA gearbox is still in there & uprated Greddy clutch yet still hits 0-60 in 3.5 seconds wich is only 0.7 slower than with the engine mods on. It was running around the 650bhp mark but the HKS turbo has gone (TD05 back on) plus back to pretty much standard ECU, stage 3 internals have gone etc etc way too much stuff got stripped off & sold seperately in order to try & make some money back. I'm still gunna be about £10k out of pocket when its gone but thats the way it works with these types of car I paid £5k for it nearly 2yrs ago & i'm selling it for £5k & its still got over £10k's worth of mods on it.... Win some Lose some I guess.

what hurts your heart is when someone buys it as a first car for their sixteen year old daughter who has no appreciation for what shes got, stripping gears.....hitting curbs....

yeah cars are a bit of an enigma with me, i love a nice car..........but get really angry by the fact that as soon as i buy it and drive it away its like £6K straight off the value.

i certainly dont know enough about them overall.

but over the last 6 years i have had BMW320 compact.......rubbish

mazda 323 sport.......very nice

audi A4 sport , .........fantastic

and currently VW GTI MK5 tornado red.......sensational car, my best ever and most comfortable drive..........voted car of the year in 2005....

cars and stress factors??

well dont know about you guys but i find that with all the business pressures etc.......i love nothing more than having 5 bottles of miller , the radio on, and giving the car a good wash by hand , finished off with a nice gloss.

then it rains next day >:(

lol I'd never let it go to someone who I honestly thought would ruin it ;)
Some nice cars Clint, have to say i'm a bit of Petrol Head lol. The Accord is my 12th car in 8yrs most have only lasted 6months max lol.

Best of those 12 were:-

Jaguar XJ6 3.2ltr Lwb Saloon.
Jaguar XJS 3.6ltr Convertable.
Mazda RX7 1.3 Twin Turbo (Highly Modded Rotory Engine).
Mitsubishi FTO GPvR 3.0ltr V6 Mivec (Highly Modded With 5sp Manual).
Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R 2.6ltr Twin Turbo (Highly Modded Engine).
Subaru Impreza STi Version1 2ltr Turbo (Highly Modded & Currently For Sale).
Classic Mini Cooper 1.3spi (Slightly Modded & Recently Sold).
Honda Accord Coupe 3.0ltr V6 (Still Being Modified & Current Daily Runaround).

Had 4 other nice cars but these were the best of the bunch by far. Not too sure how long i'll have the Accord for but i'm hoping to get a Porsche GT3 RS sometime in the next few years, but knowing me theres bound to be another 3 or more cars between now & then ::)

2 years ago I bought a 2006 Rouch Mustang Convertible with the supercharger. I put NOWIFE on the license plate. My fiance did not like it. I got some pics at home, I will post them when I get out of work.

lol nice plate ;D Dont think my wife would be all that happy either lol
I just recently got the Authorization Certificate back from the DVLA so now have my R11KEN reg plate on the Accord at long last, darn things been on retention for nearly 3yrs as my last 2 cars have been to old to use the plate :'(
I was really suprised that my Wife actually liked the NEW Mustang, was looking at buying/importing a beastie Rousch but unfortunately the cost of fuel shot up so fast over here it'd have cost me a fortune run it.
I can't rmember what the MPG was on one of those but the Subaru only does 20mpg MAX & was costing me £25 a day to do a 44mile round trip to work & back, even though the fuel cost has dropped down its still cost £1.09per ltr for V-Power & is due to back up over the £1.20per ltr area again anytime in the next few months >:(

Yep I know what you mean crafty my Renault Megane 1.5 diesel's getting well expensive to run. I mean FFS instead of getting 630 miles out of a £60 quid tank like i was 6 months ago my tanks now costing about £10-£15 more.
;D
Am i the only sad bloke that owns a diesel? Or am i just getting old?

630miles from ONE tank :o the most I ever got from the Scooby was 186miles at a cost of about £80 to fill it (V-Power @ £1.26per ltr) :'(
I think your just getting old fella ;D

I did the Colin McRae Gathering run from Lanark to Prodive at the end of August a total of 755mile round trip & it cost me just short of £400 in fuel. I was stunned to find out I was only getting around 13.5mpg especially as we were restricted to 60mph on the convoy.
Thats one of reasons why I now have the Accord, I get around 36mpg at best & about 300miles from a full tank & thats not bad for a 3ltr V6 ;D
