I had Minna before HSG and never thought of going online. Hardly played it as I purchased HSG soon after but when the Easter events reduced the clubhouse to just two floors I started getting back into Minna. Am a fairly new G1 - handful of tours - but looking to get up to G0.

I highly recommend getting Minna it offers a pretty different online experience as well as lots of cool lobby prizes that we dont get here. The competiton is ridiculous and will only improve your game going forward. If your a casual player then maybe it wont be worth it but if your anything like me and alot of other folks who play the game daily then get it my friend you won't be sorry!

. There Is a few save files in a sticky thread at the top of the minna threads that u can use. Sadly you cannot use any saves from hsg or egwt but the ones here will be sufficient enough and will give you a good start with alot of the characters and the offline game will be done so you will have all balls and clubs as well. ENjoy minna ill see you in japan !

I've had it for a few months, but didn't go online until the last week or so. If Crystal-R5 hadn't started playing Minna online lately, I probably wouldn't have either since I really don't know too many other people in my friends list I talk to regularly that have it.

My copy is in the mail, ordered from playasia.com in case others would want to find a copy for themselfs. Its around 38.00 dollars then you have shipping options. I opted for fed X which was around $18.00. Can't wait to get it set up!

Nice im sure you will enjoy Minna it has a very active online community, 3 full 50 ppl tours fill at the same time for each grade level maybe more at peak hours. Its also more challenging then HSG to move up and maintain Grade levels.Be prepared for a huuuuuuuuuuge series of online updates before you can go online. I'll see you in Japan Dean! im always up for a gameroom or match!

All you need is a buddy who trusts you to use there japanese PSN account then you would proceed to download all the stuff you need from the store onto your console .. It can be done on 5 different consoles then after that its locked. I actually had a great friend allow me to do this and it saved me tons of cash plus the hassle of getting yen cards.

No Dean. Yen card is not hard to get. many places will send you code after you paid for it. Your teacher eh? He's one lucky dawg I'm envy him a bit. :eek:


Oh and you should set up japanese psn account first which you can find a video walkthrough on this site [ if it's still here ] the layout of psn has changed but follow the vids carefully and you should be ok. also prepare for craps load of patches and up date which should take around 3 hours or so. Good luck man.

I shot a freakin -22 long tee highlands with Sophie in my first g0 tour fux was there to see this and i still lost out on a POD due to points LMAO.. Yeah Kronzzz, in g0 over there you have to be a point whore on every opportunity in order to have any chance at podium, this has greatly improved my chipping though ;)

Go to lobby 1 1 4 and you'll be welcome with a lot of hsg players there. Good luck and welcome to hell. Just an advise to you, start practice on minna with novice and intermd your early tour likely to be with those two and a lot of standard standard . I got demote to G2 awhile back and was playing in full house tourney 9 out ocean Reg T , winner [ lvl 15 ] hit -11 and highland is no cake walk. Good luck :D

Hey Rollie, you still got you're download content? The game has come down to $35 but the 5k yen card will cost you twice that. I got all the updates done and managed to set up a japanese account (Pizza8042) but don't have much unlocked. Played a dozen challenges and a game room online before work. Shot -9 on Grex LT and probably surprised the heck out of the g1 player I was in the room with. He was playing Sackboy and probably thought I was a newb. I think I'm a lvl3? Another highlight of day one Minna was after I had gone to work, PizzaGirl continued to play challenge mode and scored an alby. She said that the game showed her the bike she won, but she couldn't find it when she went online. Hmmmm....:p

I learned something in Minna. The "s" word along with the "a" word is not censored there. The english "f" bomb is, but not the German one :D I learned that from a Greman player NOT from this board.

Well, for HSG:OOB/EG:WT, you may need to play in the late afternoons (4-7pm EST) since that's when both North American and European players play at the same time. That would give you the largest pool of players. You can sometimes go on earlier than that on weekends and get a decent amount of people as well. Also, many of us have alternate G3 accounts to help new players. So just let us know when you're on. :)

Woohoo!! I just got it in the mail, and popped it in. Installing now. It'll probably be awhile before I actually play because of updates and to unlock the courses/characters. I saw MasonR's game save and downloaded it too, but I thought I might as well get used to the Japanese and enjoy it.

I created a Japanese PSN account too, though, I think I got everything? 4300 yen. I first saw Yukino and Gloria for 100 yen! I thought, "So cheap!", but then I saw them again at the bottom for much higher. So, I suppose the 100 yen are costumes or something? Subtract those two items, then it's 4100 yen for the courses and characters. Now I need my buddy to get me the game card too hahaha Or I guess use his Visa or something.

Anyway, see you some of you guys tonight or tomorrow. Woohoo! I'm going to play with lots of people again! So sad that OOB went from so many people last summer, then tanked after they screwed up the tournament scheduling and never recovered since then.

I will be touring mainly on Minna from now on. The year or so on HSG has been a blast and I had planned to quit after 50 G0 wins (now on 48) but my New Year's Resolution was to stop staying up til 3-4am and get my sleeping habits back to a more acceptable level. As I live in Singapore, Japan is only an hour ahead, so the shift makes sense really.

I may still try and eke out those 2 wins on HSG for a bit of uniformity but will spend most of my time there either playing rooms or events (Ryder Cup, DT3) at more sociable hours.
