Our site was vicitim to a hacker attack about a week ago. The hacker used the ability to upload an avatar, to upload malicious code to the site. That caused attachments and attached avatars to be corrupted.
As a result, i have taken the precaution of removing the ability for members to upload avatars. To display a member avatar, members will have to either use one of the preselected avatars listed in the profile area or link to an image hosted on another service (photobucket, flikr, a personal web hosting account, etc.)
Also note that the dimensions of the avatar are now 150 x 150. Images that are linked will be resized to fit those dimensions.
