I am really excited about this one. No more cheap eagles and the rain is a god-send. It will be fun to improve your scores on this one. The other tournaments had you improving your score by a stroke and some points over the span of a week. I imagine people will be improving their scores non-stop for this one on a daily basis.

It might be a good idea to modify your FIRST post, and include the DATES of the event, as well as a general info bit---rules, etc.

Good info to include in the beginning of each of these, so everyone can find it.

Well the tours start in under an hour and they are 9 holes not 18. EGWT have inward 9 regular tee and HSG get outward 9 regular tee!!!

So I guess this weeks bickering will be about whether front 9 or back 9 is easier lol...

It's nice that we are both shooting off the same tee but I'm disappointed that it's not 18 holes personally and I'm sure many others will be too.

i am not bothering with the stom tea cup thingmy cos there is no prizes and i doubt i could score a PB in the rain........

ok i probably lied about not bothering what i kinda mean is i wont load it up to play it constantly , the reality is i will leave it untill next tues/wed and have a go then

if there were prizes i would be all over that event like a tramp with a fish supper

all tournaments should be fast, so used to rushing through holes and if i play any slower i start over thinking too much about it.

9 in is way tougher than 9 out.. no par 4 eagles an d the hole are generally tougher.
still no prizes then.. meh. -11/-12 back 9 will win us i reckon.

Id much rather 18 at lightning fast than 9 slow, I mean normal, (same thing almost).

BLAH, normal is for the birds. All tours should be fast. I liked the super fast. Well, honestly I didnt notice too much difference. They should do THAT more often.

And also the total playing time is 22 minutes...fits very nicely to play back2back2back2back2back

In general the events are fine however i'm getting annoyed with lot of the day time euro crew who just continuously bounce from event tourn to event tour all day. In the last couple of days a few of us have been trying to get a few g0's in during the late afternoon only to have to withdraw cos we only got 6/7/8. You go into the event lobby and theres 30 people all trying to jump yet another stupid event tourn.

I used Big mag/pin....because....of the par 3's (extra loft and hopefully stick) and I like to be different

I'm sure most will use big air/pin with Anya, the random Gloria and Trad's will use Kratos Pin/Pin

Could you define "cheap" eagles?




Cheap, as in, anyone can get an eagle on highlands. just point and shoot. On Oceania in the rain you actually have to make real adjustments for rain, tilt, elevation, and slope of the green. And you knew what I meant if you took a second to think about it. Highland eagles are cheap and anyone can just go out and hit one hole-out per round if they are lucky enough. Sure, I could have used the word "easy, or easier" but everyone already knew that.

But the REAL trick is...to get ALL of the "cheap" eagles in one round...and not screw up anything else...

Put up an -11 on my first go, missed a chip for eag on 5.

Rain is only making things a little easier, imo, specifically on 2, 3, 5 and 7.

My round didn't register at the ranking screen though, hope it goes through, although I don't plan on staying at -11 anyway.

EDIT: Just beat that -11 with another one by 30 points or so...that didn't register either (or just didn't show on the ranking screen). First one still isn't up yet either.

Unless you get a registration failed message at the end of the round, it will show up on the leader board.

You will only get the message that your leader board ranking will be updated when there are more than 10 people in that tournament.

After getting my 3rd -12 today I realized that I just need to stop doing this to myself. I know it will be beaten and I'm not the one that's going to do it, so I may as well just wait until I end up in either 3rd or 4th place. Kinda sucks getting the same score 2 more times and not one of those times I couldn't get a damn hole out to either improve my points or get a -13. Oh well, whatevs.

Can't wait for my 8th place score to be bumped down to somewhere in the teens. That was my fate during the Easter Bunny Pro and Highland events. I had my chances at -12 last night and made par at #9 each time. Ahh, those Oceania par 3's...

So far I'm the only european to shoot -11 and not be in top 10. Just as well theres no prizes lol.

I'm happy with the round anyway hit every green and fairway and 1 putted every hole.

I didn't get ranking info for any of my rounds and they logged, from what I hear, it'll log any round as long as you don't get a registration time out message at the end.
