Didn't Mace or Shihiko already do that somewhere. If not I can probably do it for you next time I put Minna in my PS3.
A great offer :-) Thanks!

If it's not somewhere already an idea to do this is have Kronzz start a new thread called translations or something like that. If possible have it so only he and I can post. He could take a pic and upload a pic of the first screen of comments (out of my league), let me reply and post the translation then he does the 2nd screen and so on.

If you can start the post kuman, you will be able to modify it. Please post a new topic called "Minna comment translations". Kronzzz will be able to modify it as well as needed.
We now only have translations for rules.
Thanks!

Yes -- we can LOCK the topic so only mods can post -- but then you wouldn't be able to edit it.....
So instead of that..... maybe... On bottom of your first post, in LARGE letters ---- I would put:
PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS POST.
(only Kronzzz and I will be posting here to provide a translation guide.)
Then the mods can remove any unnecessary replies that ppl put up. :-)

Okay, In that case I will let Kronzz start the thread as he can post the warning (He carries more weight than I do being a mod and all) + he can post the first Japanese screen pic there as well.

actually, then you will not be able to edit it kum. You would need to make the first post.

If I follow OG's thinking then it won't even be locked. We will just put up a DO NOT TRESPASS sign up and be like crotchety old men and kick everyone off our lawn who dares walks on it. Therefore he can start it, not that it's a big deal who does start it.

Okay -- two thoughts going on here at same time.
Yuna's saying if he starts it, you can't edit it. She means -- you won't be able to "MODIFY" the initial post. If you two were planning on REPLYING back and forth --- then that doesn't matter. Which I think is what YOU meant to do.
What Yuna's basically suggesting (I think) is that -- you create the post YOURSELF -- (we can put a note on it FOR YOU, and enforce the no tresspassing ----- then it carries weight, no worries.) And instead of REPLYING--- Kronzzz could MODIFY your post -- so that you guys had ONE post -----> where the translations and pics were. ALL TOGETHER, one post.

Yes, that way you can "modify" it, rather than posting below it everytime you have more information.
I am now going to split this topic to a do list, so we can get back to caongratulating Kronzzz!
;) ;D ;)

Well, I just wasted 40 minutes of my life. I played an 18H G2 tournament at Okinawa. Not my best round by any means but easily a podium spot. After sinking the eagle putt on 18, Anya threw her putter down in frustration. Apparently, it was a chip-in required match. I should have known. Sigh. I do absolutely hate the chip-in required option with a passion though. Hate, hate, hate it.
Well, I have one pod in 5 tries at G2. Looks like I'll be demoting back to G3 at this pace. I gotta admit. I'm not a huge fan of Minna. It just feels kinda weird over there. If anybody really wants the game, I could be persuaded to sell my copy.

Hey J,
Im sorry you feel that way, I on the other hand could not feel more different. I love the little rules they throw in tours and the variety of characters you can use and would probably say if i had to chose between Minna and OOB's that Minna is the better game and i enjoy it alot. If it werent for my pals here on HSG international server then i would pull a KBongg and sell HSG lol, Also ive invested to much time and g0 tours and wins to do such a thing so i just enjoy playing both :)

Yes, I plan on assisting with completing this guide. However, the guide does show traditional only, have you seen the guide? I keep a printed copy right next to my PS3!!!! :P

I could be interested if you feel like selling it. :)

I dunno. Minna is nice to have on those nights when our server is dead (Saturday nights, usually). However, even after installing Mace's save file and playing a bunch of rounds on my own, all my characters still only have level 2 or 3 loyalty each. It's going to take me a LOOOOONG time to level these characters up. And I don't really feel like using the match play quitting trick because that sounds pretty painful. Plus, I don't understand a thing that anybody says over there. (Well, that was to be expected.) I can't crack jokes or make friendly comments between holes. I have no friends over there. And there's the extra cost of downloading all the characters and the two courses. Oh, and creating a new PSN user ID for Japan just so you can even buy those things. And buying some special card to store your Yen on. And so on, and so on.
Outside of the higher level of competition and the increased number of players over on Minna, I don't really see how Minna is the better game. It's really just a 2nd version of our game for users who got bored of HSG/EBGWT for some reason. Extra parts? Honestly, like I've said in previous posts, I really don't care about the extra lobby parts. My avatar is NOT one of the reasons I play this game.
If you go there thinking you'll learn a lot more about the game by playing with the world's best players, you might be disappointed. I suppose we all have our own reasons for being tempted by Minna. I'm just beginning to question mine.

They have chip-in required tournaments over there? Wow, that can't be easy.

Yeah, they use just about every rule out there, except they aren't lucky enough to get the weird forced club/ball combos (Everybody's/Straight anyone?). Sometimes you see a tournament winding up to play more difficult than anything we've seen on HSG, but not often.
Played in a Novice/Standard equipment/No Power tournament at Jurassic LT with Eagle Required. 3 people finished the tournament, 40 started, and I jumped 5 places at the end because of all the DQs, the leader on 18th tee had 4 shots to play with but apparently never found an eag.

I think the hardest one I saw here and was a part of was an Oceania, LJ, TurboClub/TurboSpin/ Rain event. That was freaking crazy. I'm pretty sure I remember his control being an E. Needless to say, it didn't go well.

what does point decision mean? Is that playing for points only?
for s+g's i tried using lj in the storm in a tee cup challenge over the weekend. i actually birdied the first 3 much to everyones amusment - it then went downhill fast. i didnt realize his control affecting his putting! i felt like i was hitting every put x3 the normal strength! and trying to hit the green on #5 in 1 - wow! i kept refusing to give up tin hat style - then eventually on stroke nine i riser'd it in from the tee for a +5 ;D

That is like a points match, I don't believe it is used for anything other than that.

for more details thoughts my me...
But you can't be serious? The VERY VERY first thing I did when I got Minna is piece together my own print out of rules, tranlations and such and it's about 6 pages long, it currently has a soda stain on it but it's never far away. If you played in a tour where you didn't look up the rules that's YOUR fault - no one elses. All of the translation info is here or on Shihiko's site (or was?) - I've played so many rounds there the only rules I confuse are No Backspin and No Superspin, and if you didn't know, ASK IN ENGLISH, someone there will piece together an answer for you...
Also as for socializing, I don't play this game for socializing. I do on occasion but if you bought Minna it's cause you're addicted to the game and want more people to play at ANY given time during the day. Recently I played on there for 12 hours straight, (I have no life), from 7am to 7pm - no problems filling tours, no rain...just the game. That's why I play it.
Oh, and if you want to learn. Just start a stroke game during their peak time or join one. And WATCH. I learned a few shortcuts/alternate routes by just watching them in matches and stroke play.
Also, the match play trick is tedious yes, but if you see a tour coming up with...Felipe and he's only level 2...if you devote the 25 minutes beforehand to the "trick" trust me he'll be up to level 10 EASY.
Also, if you are just a g2 - bite the bullet use MY save which has all characters MAX'd except Nick and be a g3 again.
