Hi - New to forum/OoB

Just picked up OoB two days ago, played for a little bit online, and needless to say, I'm hooked.

Haven't played a HSG title since Open Tee on my (now former) PSP [note: getting a new one this summer; cracked my last screen], and before that, the first one for PSone.

Any tips would be nice. I'm currently averaging around even to -2 per 9 holes, except Highlands, where I can hit -4 to -6.

I main Sophie, Big Magnum A-Class, Pinhole ball.

advice? finish the game offline (via challenge mode) and acquire level 15 status through beating your own records on each of the courses.

that way, when you decide to go knee deep in online tournaments, you'll stack up well to the competition.

oh, and uh, max the loyalty for ALL of your characters. ok, not lj.

Yes, finish all the challenges offline to obtain all the clubs and balls. If you really want to compete in online tournaments, that's almost a given. And once you've maxed out a character's loyalty, switch to using a different character and start building up his/her loyalty. You'll want to be well-rounded with all the characters.

Have fun. Try to seek out stroke play game rooms with higher-level players and study how they play the game. And whenever you have questions, just post them here. You'll find more expertise in this forum than you could probably find at Clap Hanz itself.

Thanks again Mason. And I took those tips and shot -17 on Highlands this afternoon.

*shakes fist* work schedule... I'd really just like to enjoy my summer and play some HSG.

Also, just a note, I picked up Star Wars: TFU today and Iron Maiden hits RB DLC next Thursday, so I'll be splitting my time between the three (with most spent on HSG, of course). But if anyone's down for a game, my PSN's Flare074.
