apart form constantly making sure every glass in the cupboard is straight and not touching each other and in sequence in style and shape of glass i have another........
i have went through every tour on the challenge mode to ensure that each score is under par!!!
is that sick or what!!!??
i tell you what though it shows how you advance in the game, i found a lot of tours with crowns at +5 and even safari at +3 for 9 holes :o
also a tip for G1's who wannabe G0 and for G0's who want training..........i just realised that up at platinum and gold there are silver peaks and crowns tours in the rain and i think with strong wind........if anyone needs some practice as this saves you doing the training thing hole by hole and putting the rain on!!!
i wonder what i could shoot at crowns with alex inf/inf rain..........hmmm -8 at best i think!!
dont know if this is useful for your FAQ dawg for getting people to G0?

If you want to hear OCD - i have a file binder containing front pages for EGWT, OOB, Minna, Open Tee. In each section it contains spread sheets for course performance, when i set a new record on a course i scribble said number out with a specific coloured pen (red for 9hout, green 9hin, blue 18h) and i also have a breakdown of every par three ace, par 5 alby, par 4 eagle. As well as loyalty stats for every character! Bear in mind that i own all three versions of the game plus the psp version - that is OCD!

Thats actually one reason I posted all the conditions of challenge mode. I use those courses to simulate rain or strong weather. Its very useful. Of course you can't do anything with oceania :(

I used to keep track of that stuff but then I gave up on it. I think it made me overthink too much.

I keep track of all my course and hole records, as well as Gx tournaments pod percentages, in an Excel spreadsheet. If I shoot a new record I'll bring up the spreadsheet on my laptop to update it... I have separate spreadsheets for my two different PSN accounts, but I don't yet have more than one version of the game, so I still just have two of them... ;)
Oh, and Clint; I too have noticed several of my old challenge mode scores being in the +5 variety, but I haven't bothered improving them. Actually I like them the way they are; that way I can always go in there if I need proof that my game is actually still better now than it was back then (I tend to get doubts sometimes if I have a really bad tournament and/or day online :D )...

Looking back at old scores reminds me of looking at my old replay videos the other day.
Noticed I had a 79 yd birdie saved and was curious to watch it to find out how exactly I managed such an odd hole. Turns out this was one of my very first rounds trying to learn the advanced swing. My impact timing was unbelievably awful! I hit three consecutive unintentional rabbits with Kate and the third one somehow managed to find the hole from 79 yards out - I must have shot +10 or worse that round.
Funny how 7 months back feels like forever-ago now.

I have little maps of the courses with notes like, "drive 270 or tree!", or "big shortcut with wind", or "you always hit over this green, club down!"
I'm thoroughly sick in the head with this game.
You guys make me cry, but you also keep me going.

Wow! I realize now, I'm not the only one :O:D
I can't yet speak for Golf, but up until 5 or 6 weeks ago I was playing Ridge Racer religiously for 18 months.
I spent about 2 months documenting the entire game: game guides; every car; every track. Eventually it turned in to the only decent game guide with all sorts of stats and track tips (I searched the Internet looking for a decent guide before deciding I needed to write my own :D).
Thankfully, you guys have done a great job with OOB / EGWT, so I don't need to go overboard this time :) I don't think my wife could stand it if I took my obsession from one game to another :D

Well if you are new and you like this game, good luck. You will be officially hooked like the rest of us by the end of the week!!!
GOLF OCD, it is real!!! Who is the doctor that can manage our sickness??? Please post name and number- ASAP!
After reading this I must admit I feel a whole lot better, I thought I was bad! But, then again, that is why I am not g0 yet I presume ;D Since I do spreadsheets all day for my job, the last thing I will do is do it for fun BLAH!! LOL You all are too much!

I keep a chart of my G1 tounament results, so I can tell which course/character I am most
successful with. Right now I am best at Safari though my PB is only -16 Reg & Long and
the character I win/pod most with are Kate & Suzuki.
With the chart I fill out:
Course, Holes, Reg/Long, In/Out, How many PPL, Placment, Score, What Prize, & Points
I also have a Misc. column for it I time out or something.

none of my stuff is neat, but i have a whole pile of scribbles on my coffee table. at some point i learned to keep it simple using app yardages, front, back, side app. flat spots on green. course markers for rab/tur. over time this seems to be engrained in me, so i dont use them. but i use the silver rain tourney w a novice all the time. i also have a routine i follow before i sign on. i go to practice course, hit 5 pi's at 95% consecutivly, then 5 perfect rabbits in a row, then turtles. you would be supprised how long this can take, for me at least. maybe not ocd, but possibly obsessive about the game. let me know if you find a doctor. oh, and i wash my hands w really hot water before every tourney, to improve dexterity. thats just crazy i know.

I have OCD too.
First I make sure I order a 4th Cherry Rasberry microbrew, bring home a sixer or two of the stuff so I can have more, then I come home and immediately pack up a fatty!
At this point OB is loading up, so I make sure I log onto the site, and have youtube songs playing in the background.
And everyone knows the rest......I completely poop the bed; play like crap for the next 6-9hours!
But I DO have tons of fun golfing/hanging with ya'll ;D, so I'll rinse and repeat this tomorrow. Unfortunetely for me interyernan may be my 1st match(es) when I get home tomorrow, a challenging feat :)

Only the last few years have I gone away from domestic beer, so I'm only just beginning to learn what's out there. An older co-worker of mine is fairly knowledgable about different kinds, so I'll pick his brain when I see him again and see if he can't help some fellow adult-beverage- consumers :D

Not too much bother with details here, I'll just say "a fter" reading this, I feel like I have a better chance at actually making G0, thought I was reading my own journal for a sec, :P.
and rinoshark, the handwashing thing, I bout blew pop all over my computer screen because I read alot of what some people call weird on here, but until I read that, I wasn't certain that ALL of my OCD's have been used, ;D

i love it
i score a personal best on silver during a g0 and this guy takes first, three strokes ahead of me.
if there were $200 of add-ons to this game i'm certain he as well as the rest of us would have most of it.
please, god, please, a different song, a different voice in the gallery, anything
or maybe that chick flying around at euro will hit a tree and fall into the water
uh, huh-huh that would be cool huh-huh

OMG I almost died laughing reading all the wacky and obsessive things that you guys do to track your golf performance. I didnt realize there were more freaks out there like me !!!! LOLOL!!!! I have a notebook that is ALWAYS kept right on my coffee table. It's my HSG bible. Have it filled with all kinda random information about the game that I used to have hard time remembering. Of course, NOW it's almost all permanently locked in my brain, but once upon a time--we were all little pathetic newbs LOL. Now it has charts, and graphs -- listing tours ive entered, what golfer used, courses, clubs/balls, special conditions --- all done so that I could track where my best performance was. I even went so far as to calculate percentages of performance. Such n such % of tours where i earned pod or better occurred in rain or +2 conditions, etc. Was a bit obsessive I know, and my roomate thought i had lost it... although DOING that helped me to realize where i excelled--- and it's how i got to g0. Now, if only a chart or two would help me NOT get my azz whooped in g0!!! THAT'D BE SWEET! (oh well) And if I play with (what i like to call) the fancy golfers (you know who you are, roflmao) i take notes. yes, as if i'm in school. SILLY OG. Hey--whats the point of helping us out if we don't pay the heck attention! Even got pages of various expressions in other languages for when i feel like wishing my buddies GL in their native tongue. Well there you have it. OG is just as bad as the rest of you. LOL Interesting to see that I'm not alone in my obsession, after all! :o

LOL RD -- Well, i don't play READ golf, just the hotshots variety --- but hey --- I'm sure if i did, I'd be AWFUL at it. Probably too bad to BOTHER recording any information. Got a few golfers in my family (the real variety, \smirk/) and they are QUITE obsessed. Tho -- my addiction to this damnable Video Game has started a trend in my family... for gift giving. In the summer for my birthday, I was given a beach towel with a golfcourse scene on it --- and for Christmas --- a little ornament for the tree of a golfing girl. SIGHS. Oboy. I'm addicted. Someone check me into a rehab facility QUICK!

i just play. but i didn't even bother with the challenge mode. I copied it from my dad and went straight online, and i hit the floor running.
i seriously picked this game up fast. never played trad either.
the only thing i do is try to get 10- on every single 9 holes.
+ i'm sort of gamer than can store and recall information in my head.
tbh this game does make you OCD. and i'm too disorganized to be OCD.
