Backing up all save files for the ps3

So I have always been doing this with a USB Stick but the problem is you can't do protected saves. I thought I remember someone saying there was a way to do it? If there is, maybe you can recommend a device to buy as well?



I just realized I have about 10-15 saves that are protected and I would really just love to backup everything instead of a few selected files :cool:

Lets be thankful that the HSG/EG and Minna saves aren't protected. But why do they do that anyways with some games:confused:

You can go to Walmart to those peeps in the states and buy an external hard drive that i bought for $60--- it is a westgate 250gb ---- you dont have to format or anything it does it automatically. but my question for anyone out there--- if u have multiply accounts do have to save each 1 separately?? I have my wifes, a friends, and my other account

I think you do, but can you do it on the same HD, that I do not know.

You can its all about the gb's you have left on the HD, But for $60 its a steal i couldnt resist, it uses the power from the ps3 so there is no cord to worry about--- i save everything once a week

a few save files are locked to prevent copying of useful things. I'm not quite sure why the Mercs 2 file is uncopyable though.. kinda annoying. i might have to get that platinum at some point. any ideas on the "perform a burnout" trophy though. i have no idea what that is..

Yes I got the platinum in that game. What you do is hold the brake and the gas at the same time. You will see a bar in the bottom left hand corner, wait for it to fill and the trophy is yours.
