Manners in Minna?

I've just been playing in a G2, i think maybe its my sixth or seventh tourney. I've always followed suit with the other players by copying the prompts they give at the beginning and the end of every tourney. I've also been lucky enough to play in some tourneys with guys from our server, this time i was very lucky to be in the same comp as Unseen555. It was a highland LT with Sasha, I came 2nd with a pleasing -20 however.... Unseen and i were keeping each other company, not being rude, spurring each other on things like nice bird, nice approach, this is hard, the competition on this server is intense etc. Were we doing something wrong because we were given abuse from 3 or 4 of the japanese players telling us to shut up, be quiet and things similar?

Japanese players who saying those things? Honestly I've not seen anything blatantly outright as an insult from a jp player to someone from the Int server. It was in english?

I'd say you encountered the extremely rare exception to the rule on Minna. 99% of the people there are polite as far as I see (although I'm not running to translate everything in japanese).

I dont care if they insult me in their own language, what i can't see doesn't bother me. The main one was after playing the Par 5 ninth, Highland LT - I hit my second to 7 cm, almost holing a alby so Unseen was congratulating me and his name was printed in capitals for all to see and hew was told to shut it. Perhaps we caught some people in a bad mood.

yeah i would not bother with it inter, i have found a few JP players who have helped me with translations etc......prior to mace doing it on here.......

if i am on my own i just look at my own scorecard, played with Fux last night in what was to be my last G1 game :-[ for a few games, managed a pod at oceania -14 as did fux

I'll be online for some minna this afternoon, gotta drop the kid at nursery for 1pm, should be back by 2ish and then i'll jump straight on. Got myself back a little with my pi and things are starting to happen a little (much to rowdys disgust last night in RA) so hoping to turn my 2 G2 second places and 1 pod into promtion for G1. (How many points do i need in how many games)
