Homepage Layout

If this is your first day visiting the site, then you can disregard this post :). For ever EVERYONE else, as of 3p EST, you'll notice the homepage has been shuffled up a bit, and a few new features added.

Including the banner slideshow, which highlights some of the happenings here, along with the tabbed recent topics view.

Love to get your feedback....trying to make the looks of things a little more personable, as opposed to just the run-of-the-mill "forum" look.

It seems as though the posts are not updating on the homepage.

When I reply to this thread it should be the latest post but it doesn't show that. It only shows your original post Morpheus.

Also, below the tournament information, Pippi's "omg :D" topic is the only one in bold/darker blue, and I already read that topic. A little glitch maybe?

Anyone else not seeing the links to the last new post in a thread since your last visit? For me it shows up for a brief second while loading the list of new posts, then it disappears completely...

Oh, and I agree with Gypsy, I like the Kratos ladder pic.

This is intentional. My efforts are to unclutter the homepage, as it had columns and columns of text and junk that much of which was unnecessary. The Avatar picture (IMO) fell into the "unneccessary junk" category...lol. You should know what YOUR avatar looks like, no need to stare at it everytime you come, i didn't feel the need to take up additional space on the homepage with repetitve information.

That box also displayed any messages or notifications that you had. Well, that is already displayed in the header navigation to the far right.

Anyways, thanx "trying it on for size". Keep the feedback coming! This layout is by no means set in stone, it will probably be tweaked several times in the days and weeks to come!

I'll look into that. I believe that you previously told me you were using fire fox. Yes, that is a very important feature i don't want you to lose! i'm trying to ADD features, not take any away!..lol.

Pulling down the tabs temporarilly while i investigate why the posts aren't refreshing properly. Thanx all for the feedback! I'll get it back up as soon as i can. In the mean time, the Recent Posts are as they were previously.
