View Full Version : Would you play HSG/EG more if we had all the Minna online features and tourneys?

Curious if people would play more on the intl server if we had the same stuff as the Japanese server. I'm thinking about Minna, but I don't really want to pay $60+ (when you count having to get at least some of the DLC) just because Sony and Clap Hanz have forgotten about us. I'm tempted on waiting until the one year anniv of OOB's release (March) to see if it's rectified. And I gotta get some more G0 wins before stepping foot on the Minna server and getting my butt whipped, lol.

I'd still play Minna more often, but it would be nice to run the leaderboards. ;D

I have Minna and do not play very often, because I have too many pals on HSG. I favor HSG because of this. Cannot wait to play new course, got my yen card today ;D

yeah i would possibly spend more time on egwt but minna is far more challenging and in turn will probably turn you into a better player due to the higher standard of competition

Don't get me wrong EGWT/OOB is where all my best friends are, but there is still only so much that server can offer. I enjoy chatting in the lobbies and playing league, rival and ladder, but the fact is over the last few weeks the G0 tournies seem to be coming fewer and fewer. Is it just me noticing this? Fine we may go over to minna and have to settle for fluctuating between G1 and G2, only the cream of the crop on our server will manage G0 for any sustained period of time, but for the sheer weight of variation that their server has to offer it's a no brainer. Course and character variety for tournaments, earlier downloadable content, number of participants (close to 2000 at the weekends) and all the costumes and accessories for your lobby character when you win things are but a few things. Unless the international server bucks their ideas up and brings itself in line with the japanese most of us are going to have to switch over.

A large part of what I like about Minna is the sheer volume of players online at all hours of the day. I don't get home from work until late (~10 pm EST usually) so it's rare if I'm even able to get in one OOB tournament before people disperse. Fortunately, this is just about the time Minna really gets going, as the server's tournament frequency kicks up from 15 minute increments to 10 minute ones.
