I have put this up for those that play this game but don't know
how many rds & pts needed to get promoted or demoted. :)
This went into effect on Oct. 30/08. I hope it helps some folks out. :)
I got this information off of the mingol.shihiko site. :)

only 8 points for g0 safe zone? guess im safe again yay. u sure its 8pts and not 9?

yes it is 9. 8 points or less is demotion..... :-\

Well, I have a second place and 2 pods in Minna g1, so I'm safe until game 40. *whew*

please check. G2 to G1 promotion is only 11 points in 20 games. got demoted but made it back in 4 pods. 1st 2nd 3rd and 3rd = 11 pts.

Is the points system above correct? I just started Minna last Friday. I won my first two G3 matches to get to G2. That seems right as this is 8 points.
I only played in seven tours in G2 and got two 2nd place finishes and two other pods. That should be 10 points, right? After got the second 2nd place finish, I was surprisingly promoted to G1. I won't complain, but wanted to confirm everyone's understanding.

It's correct, you do need 12 points to move to g1 and 16 points in 20 games to G0 however sometime strange thing like that happens. you need 7 points to stay g1 but my last block I only got 2 pods 3rd and 1st [ on Crown LT Nando no power ] which was only 6 points total. somehow I didn't get demoted.

:( Oops, my mistake. I just checked my stats and it seems I played in eight G2 tours, with three 2nds and two other pods for a total of 13 points. Sorry for the confusion earlier!

demotion from G2 back to G3 is more than 4 pts, been demoted twice and had 4 pts

That would be in tune with what's already listed, just depends on how you read it. You demote if you score 4 points or less, in other words you need 5 to be safe. Same for G1 and G0, you need 7 or 9 points to stay, as 6 or 8 (or less) will demote you.
