hi all,
im thinking of getting minna but i have a couple questions that im sure some of you have seen 100 times before, but i cant find the answers, any help would be great.
1) can i use the dlc from HSG for minna or do i have to buy them again?
2) will i need to have a jap account to play it online?
3) other than the title is there any real difference between the 2 games? ie different courses etc?

I don't have the game, but I remember the answers from before... ;)
1) HSG and Minna are not compatible. You need to buy DLC all over again if you want it for Minna, and for that you will need a Japanese PSN account and PSN cards with Japanese credits to pay for it. Can't answer how you go around buying that credit though, but I'm sure others can help you with that.
2) You don't need a Jap account to connect to the game online, but you need it to buy DLC as described above.
3) There are some slight differences on a couple of courses, but nothing big. The courses and characters are the same, only with Japanese names... The biggest difference, if you have HSG (American version) and not Everybody's Golf (European version) is that Minna uses the metric system for putting.

Also worth noting is that all the menus and pre-programmed 'comments' are in Japanese.
MasonR translated all the tour restrictions (no backspin, no wind indicator, no marker, hit tree +2 etc) and put them in the Minna 5 section of this site Can be found by clicking this link (http://www.hotshotsgolf.com/community/showthread.php?t=448)
I'd take the plunge as there are more online players, better lobby parts and the time zone means its busy when the US/Europe server isn't and vice-versa.
