View Full Version : Any reason I can't install Toro?
A few weeks ago, I had downloaded Toro and I've tried looking everywhere to install him...I can't install him because I don't know WHAT/WHERE to install him... =/
Any help? I thought it would automatically install him when I started the game... >_<

You need to go online to install him. Once you select the Online button on the Main Menu the game will install several updates to the game, among them Toro...
I did that still didn't see him. (Yes, I know I need to scroll to the left/right :P )

Did you check the Novice characters? Toro is novice. Not sure if you looked there or not, but take another look just to be sure.
Yes, and I know he's a Novice character.

So you've re-downloaded... gone back online, all updates installed and still nothing??? I guess your screwed :(

What should you do? If I were you, I'd consider myself lucky that I cannot play golf with Hello Kitty and let sleeping dogs lie.

One thing you can try is to reinstall the game completely, as a last resort. To do that, head up to the Game Data option on the XMB (a few steps above where you start games from), and delete the HSGOOB/EGWT game data (NOT the save game, but game data, make sure to get that correct). Then start the game again, and it will reinstall. Once installed, go to the Online option and let it download all the updates again. Hopefully that should fix your lack of Toro as well...

Let's get one thing straight. Toro's gender is unknown, so less of the he/him references please. :D

Set aside approximately 3 hours for this option, and btw, toro isn't worth it....

That's your opinion. Personally I love the little bugger. ;)
Btw. I came to think about another thing. Where do you live and what game are you playing? Could it be that you for instance have bought a US version and play it in Europe or vice versa? If so, then the Toro you've bought in the PSN store might not be compatible with your game.
Well, I'm pretty sure that I installed it before updated the info for online play.

Btw. I came to think about another thing. Where do you live and what game are you playing? Could it be that you for instance have bought a US version and play it in Europe or vice versa? If so, then the Toro you've bought in the PSN store might not be compatible with your game.
That would seem the most logical. The Toro I bought from the Singapore (where I live) store only works on Minna, while I had to open a U.S. account to get the cat i needed for my Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds game.
Annoyingly, I discovered after making a Japanese account, that Toro is free DLC to those guys but I had already paid for him.
